Good for when you aren't using it wich increases the security of you network and internet. After it has been disabled you will see a setting that should allow you to reenable it to make it active.

Didou Posts: 4,190 +11 Oct 25, 2006 #3 You can't disable Ssid per se, you can disable the broadcasting of said Ssid. if you remove the Ssid name, your wireless network no longer has a "name" & can't be reached from there on.
