Starwars Battlefront 2 locks up in space battles

First of all thanks for taking time to read this.

I recently build an Amd based computer, with a athlon 64 4000+, 7800gtx gfc, 2gb 2.0 lat. RAM, 550w BFG Tech PSU. It runs great on all other games i've put on it(BF2, HL2, CSS, Civ 4); bought battlefront 2 and it locks up in all most every space battle. CPU temp. 38c, NB chipset 40c, PWM IC 38c.

When it locks up the all audio stops, and the video freezes, my HD stops and the computer is compleatly stuck. I have to manually power it down. Alt-ctrl-Del doesn't work either.

Any help is greatly appreciated

P.S. my drivers are all up to date.

Check for patches or updates for the game and video card.

Any one know when the patch is comming out?

I've been trying to contact Lucasarts, but have not had any luck.

Also is there anyone else with the same problem?
