Status light on mobo turns on,but nothing will load...

system specs....
asus p5ld2 mobo
intel dual core 2 duo processor
2 gb(2x1 gb) 240 pin ram
saphire 512 mb,512 bit video card pci x16
serial ata 150 hd,10,000 rpm hd
spire 505 watt power supply....


i plugged everything in,checked and rechecked everything...turn to ps on,then press the button on the comp,wont even turn on....yet the status light on the mobo is on....thoughts?

Was this PC in working order before this occured?
Is this a newly built PC? if it is, is the power button properly connected..

Is your CPU power cord attached?
Did you use the CORRECT ram for your board?

the pc was not in working order,everything is brand new besides the box i put it in...i double checked,all parts are connected and compatible....im lost....

Update!!!!! because of the new huuuge video cards out,(mine being a ati radeon 2900hd 512),the card demanded atleast 650 watt psu to even turn on...i was using a 400 watt....now crysis looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
