Storage off line

Hi fellow Techspotters,

Is there a site on the web that offers free storage, say 2GB. My idea is to upload family photos and some files, nothing personel like banking info. I would like to give my friends a password to access particular folders. There are probably plenty out there but what are the pitfalls/drawbacks?

Anyone tried a good provider?

thanks for responding.
My idea was just to let others whom I give a password to, like friends & family only, read and download access to individual folders. Nothing illegal or untoward - just safe off line storage and sharing.

Photobucket and or Image Shack...
There are a few others but these i use.
Also i heard Google is now offering this.
But make sure to backup your photo's first...don't expect them to live on the web forever, especially with a free service.
