Stupidest Question Ever?

All I have are desktop machines running Windows. I have no need of a mobile phone. As a result, I've never had contact with the Android operating system.

So, I bought a $40.00 "Digiland" tablet from Best Buy. I was hoping I could use it, (most likely its only use), as a portable picture viewer. Load pictures, show pictures, that's it.

Drum roll..........(stupid question incoming )..... will this damned fool thing actually function as a photo viewer without an internet connection? Will it do anything other than tell you the time and date, along with the state of battery charge, without an internet connection?

I'm really embarrassed about having to post this. Do you worst, troll me if you must, but at
least drop some sort of clue while you're at it...

You may just need to find the right app. I can't speak for the quality of them or say for sure how many are available.

Thanks Cliff! It's most likely exactly as I feared and I am now trapped in the flypaper of an "app store", and am forced suckle at the bosom of Mother Google for sustenance.

This s*** is like a "Chrome Book", which I'm of the opinion is the dumbest idea ever...
Maybe I need a copy of, "Android for Dummies"..
