so recently i have been having some major problems with my computer with the svchost.exe process in the task manager window. every once and a while my computer goes extremly slow. so i ctl alt del to get to task manager and the cpu is running at 99% of svchost.exe and i dont know why. i have tried to to click end process but a window comes up saying that i have done something bad and will auto shut down in one minute. then counts down till shut down. i have been told it is a worm. i dont know. but all i do know is that it is really annoying and i want it to stop. if anyone can tell me what is going on that would be great.

svchost.exe is a necessary system process that executes multiple services. Normally, you'll have more than one instance of svchost running at the same time. Refer to TechSpot's Services Tweak Guide to learn what services can be disabled to increase your systems performance and hopefully eliminate your problem.
