System alert Icon in tray.

[Grim Reaper]

All of a sudden, this system alert icon has appearded and won't go away. I have removed all Viruses/Adware/Spyware/Trojans but it still won't go away. It keeps linking me to anti-virus programs to download, can anyone please help me with this problem.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

I've tried that but it doesn't seem to work. That icon is still there flashing and giving me messages. Is there any other way to solve this?
