System cant find hdd

hi guys hope you can help
my whole system has recently crashed in the middle of a system restore,and it prevented me from booting my pc i get system32\drivers\nvatabus.sys file missing or corrupt.so ive tried to boot my pc from my original setup disk but when i get tothe pointit says press it says sytem cant find hdd.the hdd drive shows up when i start booting so im at loss its 16gb sata hdd.does anyone have any ideas all help appreciated

Well nvatabus.sys is the RAID or the storage controller file that you load when initially installing Windows for your SATA drives. You should have a disk somewhere with these files on, that you put on a floppy disk. When you install Windows, it asks you to press F6 to load these drivers and then half way through loading the files off the disk it asks you to insert the floppy disk with these on.

That's if you are re-installing Windows, though.
