  1. When AMD's Mantle API was announced just over a month ago, PC gamers were excited about the performance improvements it would bring to those with a Graphics Core Next-based AMD GPU. However at the time, only one developer, EA DICE,...

I am really looking forward to watching this. Anyone that remembers Glide knows what an advantage having a second API can be. (OGL aside since it is so rarely used).

If its incorporated like Glide there will be an option to run the game using Dx or Mantle.
It will be an option and wont "replace" anything.

  6. Mantle replaces DX lol, Mantle is for AMD products only so even if Mantle does replace DX it'll only be for AMD cards and lets face it, Nvidia still dominate that category. Things may change but for now a lot of people still use Nvidia. I don't ever see myself as owning any AMD products anytime soon.

Mantle is an API. It is for AMD boards starting with 1st gen GCN. If a game is coded to use it then it will likely be usable with the Mantle driver or Dx.

That really doesn't matter. Not even a little bit.
