Battery says it is full but computer won't start unless plugged in. What is the fix?
Replace the battery
I unplugged the computer and pressed the on'/off button for 30 seconds. That seemed to solve the problem. Now operating as it is supposed to and cheaper than buying a battery. Why this worked I have no idea.
Probably an intermittent problem. If it returns, you may just remove the battery and run the laptop off the adapter...
But that would eliminate the reason I bought a laptop rather than a desktop.
How old is the laptop?
It should still be under warranty, have it checked
Toshiba support sucks. Toshiba has a "1 year" warranty but after 90 days you can't get tech support online. Difficult to figure out how to get in touch with anyone. I would NEVER buy anything from them again.
