Toshiba LCD Problem

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000. It has stopped showing any image. It worked fine when I connected it to an external monitor. I'm at a loss as to where the problem lies. Can anyone tell me procedures on how I can test it. I checked the connections and all seems fine.

Any help is highly appreciated.

when you boot up the computer does it show anything at all (even for a moment)??

The LCD doesn't show anything. You can see the LEDs on the body light up and you can hear the fan. It worked fine when connected to external monitor.

probably the bulb at the side of the LCD screen if you tip the screen and look at it on an angle can you see anything?

could be the video cable strip (internal) got broken.

There are many third party vendors that sell LCD replacement kits. Just google it.
