Toshiba Portege 7000ct wireless?

  1. I recently purchased a used Toshiba Portege ct7000. I the college That I attend offers wireless internet and I am completely clueless as to what is neede to hook into this. what hardware is needed to utilize wireless internet? and do you need to subscribe to a wireless internet provider? I am pretty clueless and at home my family is still using dial-up.

    You need a wireless adapter in your laptop. If you currently don't have one then you can buy it. Something that goes into the PCMCIA slot would be the simplest.

    Usually you don't need any subscription to gain access to normal WiFi networks. At most you have to register your computer with the network owner.
