Toshiba Satellite, Display Problems

Blue vertical lines - someone told me change the screen.
I just wanna know, why the screen fills up with 0s before boot manager.
Any ideas?

Blue vertical lines ... first check the cable betwin M.B and LCD..
if you say your laptop model i can say which of the divice(LCD or CABLE or GPU) have problem

i have a japanese dynabook, m30x with video probs.
highly disorganised display, but you can just about see whats going on.
boot & os is normal. its not the inverter. any ideas?
