It's running so slow, that I can't use it effectively.
It is a 266 Mhz, with 192 Mb ram.
Bios is 9.30
It was upgraded to Win 98 SE, after I boobooed the registry and the bios was flashed to 9.30.
Since I got it back, it is so slow that I really can't use it.
It takes about 10 minutes to boot up.
I have the factory configuration CD that installs Win 95 and all of the Toshiba drivers and defaults.

What do I need to do, before trying to run the configuration CD?

I think it's time for you to get yourself a new PC, my brother uses a PII 350 with 64mb RAM for his work and I often hear him yelling through his wall that it's too slow or has buggered up/crashed for some reason. Look on Ebay for a good cheap one, it sounds like you use yours for work. ANything with 256mb RAM and a processor of at least 1ghz (for value for money) will be more than capable. It could be that loads of crap has been left behind by WIn95 in the install of 98. Did you format the hard drive before you installed it?

Someone else tried to cleanup my registry mistake and made it operate slower.

It was fine until this happened.

I just want to get it back to where it was.

I have the Toshiba cofiguration builder CD and will let a shop try to fix it for me, unless I can get some help here.
