I am currently running windows 2000 with sp4 along with fedora core 4, recently i tried to install Xp on my system, the cd gets detected as bootable and asks me to "press any key to continue. . . " after that the screen goes black and system drivers do not get detected after some time the cd stops to read and thats it I am stranded.

The optical drive is brand new and I had previously intalled xp on the same system without a hitch.

I am really dumb struck any help?
