  1. I'm having trouble with my new router (Netgear RP614 Cable Router) and My Motorola Surfboard SB5100.. If you look on the back of the router, there are only ethernet cables, and my modem has an ethernet port as well, but when I uninstall my USB settings from the modem and I try to install the Internet thorugh the Ethernet Cable, there's no activity and the setup can't detect any internet connection. If I can solve this, I'll be okay to set up My router, as the other computer is metres away from this one, so if u can help me, It'd be greatly appreciated

What do you mean by "install the Internet through the Ethernet Cable"?

You don't have to "install" anything when you use ethernet to connect stuff. If you connect your computer or roter to the modem using the the ethernet cable, it should Just Work. You may have to reset the modem or call your ISP.

Reading The Friendly Manual is always a good idea.
