Hi
As can be seen in my first post on the boards first I have disabled the ACPI function of windows to get a PC to boot .
I wondered if any body out there knows of any determantel effect this might have with the pc in the short / long run.
I've found that it is just used to control the power of hardware connected in the pc to put them into standby modes if they are not being used to reduce the power usage of the whole pc but cant find if it's going to damage the pc?
Any help would be cool
