Unable to run Direct CD

I have VISTA on my new system, have alott of data from my old system using Direct CD. I checked the WEB and I see "Adaptec UDF Reader Driver 5.1.1.213". Will this work with VISTA?

I doubt it. It's quite old. Roxio has a more current version: UDF VOLUME READER 7.1.0.95. But it only supports up to XP. It doesn't say anything about Vista.

Even though the CD appears blank, try exploring the disk and see if you can see the files.

You may have to upgrade the Roxio or get Nero in a better version designed for VISTA

I had already tried "UDF VOLUME READER 7.1.0.95". I was not able to read any files, do you know if Norton or another reader of deleted files would be able to read them?
Which is better Roxie or Nero?
