Unauthorised in app purchases by son

We discovered yesterday that my 9 year old son has spent almost £1000 on my husbands credit card over the last 3 weeks on in app purchases playing fifa ultimate team on android. He somehow knew the password and has been clicking away not realising it was real money. Does anyone know if we will get a refund. No lectures please we feel bad enough about the whole thing and havent slept a wink. Thank you

Perhaps expect the worst and hope for the best. I doubt you have any legal standing on this and are dependent on the goodwill of your credit provider and whoever operates the android app. You have of course already contacted these parties providing full details and are keeping a complete record of all communications.
