We got our first look at screenwriter Aaron Sorkin’s biopic of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs back in May. Today, Universal Pictures released an extended trailer that focuses more on Jobs’ relationship (or lack of) with his daughter than the iconic keynote speeches the film is structured around.

The flick, based on the best-selling albeit controversial biography by Walter Isaacson, is directed by Academy Award-winner Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting, 127 Hours). It stars Michael Fassbender as Jobs alongside co-stars Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels and Seth Rogan.

It’s set backstage at three of Jobs’ product launches, concluding with the unveiling of the iMac in 1998.

Steve Jobs is slated to land in theaters on October 9, 2015.

How many Steve Jobs movies are we going to have made, aren't they done making money off of the dead man yet?

Nope. There will be plenty more, considering he only died 4 years ago. How many do you think will be made of Bill when he dies? Probably even more

Now, now, now ..... look how many movies they made about the Keystone Cops ...... of course, they were/are funny .....

If I were bill gates, it would be in my will "no movies of my likeness". If anything, these movies are a cash in. It's far too early to see Steve Job's full impact at apple and people are still smoking the Apple crack pipe.

Just like presidents or artists, it takes time to ascertain the full scope of one's achievements.

Nice to see there may be a little more truth to this movie than previous incarnations.

Most of his employees described him as an unbelievable jerk.
