Hi, I have a new-ish system that has an unknown PCI device. In the POST screen, it shows as IRQ 1. I know the device is the firewire chip VT6306, and I'm guessing that if I can get the bios to assign something other than IRQ 1, then it might clear the problem. I have an identical system, and it pulls 5.
This problem device is blocking the network controller from functioning, so it's a major issue. If I can't fix it, then I have to pay some bucks to Shuttle for the repair, as it's out of warranty now.
