I was reading on e-machines psu (power supply Unit) problems and now instead of just needing a upgrade on my RAM and graphic card, may need a new psu too. Although the stick doesnt really state that all or just some of the e-machines has problems
In any case this is my cpu and I only have a about 200-300.00 to spend to upgrade this desktop to peform well enough to roam the WOW world. I am not looking for a overhual and would like to just find reasonable upgrade to play this game. From all the googling i have done my main problem would probably be my ram. But since I may have to get a New PSU might as well upgrade the intergrated graphic card to a agp slot one (i just learn what this stuff actually mean today still at a lost what is best, I am a ati guy, but would jump to nvidia)
Basically i have a E-machine w-3050 it was on sale at walmart for 50.00 when i purchased it so it was great for the price. This computer may not be the best but it has serve its purpose for quite some time untill recently. It seems with the most recent patches I am lagging and starting to see a large dip in FPS sometimes only 9 fps. Which really throws me off the gaming experience.
I planned to max out my RAM 2g today when going to fry's but I am at a lost with the psu and graphic card. To my understanding since i am upgrading my PSU i should be able to get a decent graphic card with better quality then what i would be able to get if I stuck with the 300 watts PSU. Any help would be greatly appreciate. On WOW website they recommend
64MB VRAM 3D graphics processor with Vertex and Pixel Shader capability, such as an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 class card or above
what can i get from ati that is equalivent or better From what i have been reading ati overal has better bank for the buck.
