Upgrading a gateway solo

I just bought a gateway solo Im not shure of the model but I think it is a 2500 off ebay it is from 98 or 99 and I am not quite sure if the 512 RAM and 40 GB hard drve will do what I want it to do, ie make it XP compatable I was wondering if you guys cold tell me what type of video or other upgrades I can get for it.

I just figured out that the model by the best of my knowledge is a 9100 is this better than the 2500 I know it sounds like a dumb question but Im dumb.

The 9100 is really old. I think the most RAM it will take is 128mb. Go to Gateways site and in the tech support section you can put in the units serial number and it will give you the info you need.

Thank you for the help with the info you gave me I found out that my laptop (which I got today and am very impressed with for the price) can hold up to 384 mb of ram @ 83.3 mhz
