Upgrading Vista to 7

  1. Hi,

I have a one-year-old Acer Aspire 4250 running Vista. It has an AMD Turion and 2G of RAM. I mostly use it for email and a tiny amount of web surfing. I am fed up with Vista and need to commit a laptop to a new job that I am starting next week. So, my choice is to buy a new laptop with Windows 7 (which I hear good things about) or buy an upgrade to Win7. My question is whether it is a good idea to try to upgrade Vista to Win7 or if it is fraught with problems, etc. Any or all advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    JR

    Upgrade

I haven't heard of problems with an upgrade. Plus, it's cheaper and you don't lose all your data.
