Urgent Help needed on how to format the hard drive!

I need to know how to force the computer to format the main hard drive. How would you do that from the bios? I need help fast! Thanks.

I don`t believe you can format a hdd from bios.

Normally you would format the drive from the Windows disk, or via a 98 boot floppy.

Can you explain what it is you`re trying to do and why?

You could also wipe the drive using one of these hard drive utilities HERE.

Here's the deal. I got a fairly nice computer from my uncle. It's an Athlon XP 2400 and has 1.25GB of ram. It only has a 2MB video card though. It has Windows 2000 installed on it. I installed XP Pro. I now need to wipe the hard drive and reinstall XP. I could use help please! Thanks.
