I have recently had a peculiar event with my usb functions. I have not installed any hardware or software since this began. On occasion, like now, my computer does not recognize any usb ports or attached devices. I have a usb menory card reader, printer, and scanner attached. These have all functioned normally. The last time I had the usb devices disappear I went to component services - local and tried to start Removable storage and get a message that the service started and stopped. No change in usb non-function. Any clues as to what is going on?
