USB RAID under windows XP

By systemcrash
Jun 27, 2006
  1. Hi there,

I would like to know if it is possible to setup a RAID-0 with some usb keys under XP. I know the way to setup a raid (0 or/and 1) under Windows XP without additional RAID controller. I would like to know if it is possible to do so with USB Devices.

    Many thanks

my opinion, RAID should be a hardware implementation, not software.
By placing the RAID function into the adaptor card, the OS is not degraded and
the HD is not dependent upon an OS interruption (eg: lockup).
I would much rather trust my mirrored drives to the hardware/firmware implementation.

That said, I doubt you will find a USB controller implementing RAID.
