Don't know if this is possible, but I have a HT Omega Claro + sound card but without USB ports. I've recently purchased the Bose Companion 5 speakers and it only comes with USB plugs, is it possible to hook those two together? I do not want on-board sound so wondering if there's an adapter out there...

think it over; RCA is a two wire, 1948 device -- USB is four wires of high speed data ---

fastco, I think your link is describing a recording device. There are other such devices on the market also. However I think they're all basically input from an analog device to convert to digital storage format. This is the same principle as the USB turntables which are currently being sold. I actually haven't ever dealt with USB connected loudspeakers, only the little mini-plug outputs which are analog and can be easily converted to RCA. I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help.
