Use which memory for motherboard?

By LipsOfVenom

  1. I'm buying an ASUS P5Q LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard with an E8500 processor and a Radeon HD 4870. The memory standard is DDR2 1200, but is it possible to use lower speeds like DDR2 1066? Also if anybody has better recommendations for a motherboard ($100-$200) I'd like to hear them. Thank you in advance.

You can use DDR2 PC2 5300, PC26400, PC2 8500, or PC2 9600, in 2 GB modules per slot... use matched pairs. I recommend Crucial for their ability to read your board on line and verify.
