Vanashing I.E. Options

Hello everyone,
This is my first visit and first post. Hopefully someone here will be able to help me out :grinthumb. I recently tried to verify my Internet Options due to some long running lag issues, anyway, when I open up the options panel from my I.E. toolbar, and I go to the " Advanced " options tab, there is NOTHING there. Just a white panel with all the setup options missing. Does anybody know how I can recover/restore this option ? Thanks for your help! :bounce:

go to add/remove programs and reinstall internet explorer...

also note... check for spyware/adaware and virus problems.. there is an excellent guide in the forum so i will not repeait it here.
