VGA to S-Video

I got a sony laptop with a VGA out. It does not have an S-Video out

Is there a cable I can buy that will convert the VGA to and S-Video and play on NTSC format T.V.?

I have seen the "boxes" but they cost 99$. And I do not want to buy one if I can buy a cable that does it for "5.99"

The VGA and S-Video signals are radically different and just connecting wires will give you nothing. You need a box.
