VHS to DVD

    I want to put all my old VHS tapes onto DVD

    I am not sure of the best process but I thought I would start by buying a PCI card to slot in my mobo. I would appreciate any suggestions as to which model, type etc to buy.

    What TV capture card would be a good buy?

    I have P4 - 3.0 Ghx
    512MB RAM
    120GB hard drive so my system will cope with almost anything - I think :confused:

    The easiest way would probably be to get a capture card with MPEG-2 hardware encoding, so that the captured video would be ready for DVD right away. Popular MPEG-2 capture cards seem to be Hauppauge PVR series.
