Video card probelm. PLEASE help :-(

Ok, i just bought a Geforce 7800 AGP.

When i first got it, i uninstalled my old drivers, restarted my computer, then turned it off. After i took out my old video card, I put in my new one.. Now whenever I start up my computer the videocard makes a EXTREAMLY lound "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!" noise (and doesnt stop.. just a continous sound). Not only that but my monitor wont show. *power is on, but wont show picture*. I have NO clue what the problem is. and I "KNOW" that my motherboard and support it. Please help =(.

Hello and welcome to Techspot!

Do you have the power connection that goes directly to the 7800 from your PSU? There may be some that don't require it, but as far as I know they all need it.

If you do, and this is not your problem, can you give us the specs on your PSU and motherboard please.

Is the card seated in the AGP slot correctly?? Does your motherboard support AGP 2.0? As DonNagual said, we need the specs for your system before diagnosis can be made.
