Video Card Specs - Comparison Question

Hello,
I was looking for a video card to put in my desktop I'm building. I thought the EVGA GeForce 9500 GT would be a good fit, but one says 512 MB and the other 1 GB. I understand that is the dedicated memory, but with the system specs in my profile/drop down for computer #1, would that actually be a visual difference for just mid-level games such as the Need For Speed series or Madden series or would the 1 GB's extra cost not be necessary?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

In our experience, memory above 512 MB doesn't count for much unless every other aspect of your system is high level. We don't think the 1 GB is worth the extra cost... more like a marketing move than real technology.
EVGA GeForce is good stuff, though.
