Trying to run 3 monitors and need a video card that plays nice with the ATI Radeon X1300 Pro found in the 740s purchased recently. The card has to be PCI since there is only 1 PCI-e slot on the motherboard and it’s taken by the existing video card. I’m pretty sure it will be an ATI card as the nVidia card I tried bringing forward from their old system doesn’t get along with the ATI software (and vice versa).
Recommendations?

Thank you :)

You can't do SLI or Crossfire with a PCI + PCI-E combination. You'd need two free PCI-E x16 slots. Such motherboards usually have either an NVIDIA chipset for SLI or an ATI chipset for Crossfire. You'd need to buy an SLI\Crossfire capable motherboard, or use a splitter cable for all the monitors.

Yes he would be more able to do this with Nvidia's SLI if he had the proper hardware. Right now he is stuck with just 2 monitors if he configures the hardware properly, and uses the correct video drivers

you could pick up a crossfire motherboard and get a new x1300, you could run 4 monitors on that setup.
