Videos won't play. How do I fix it?

I don't know what happened, but videos decided to randomly stop playing online. I first noticed it on youtube but it happens on other websites as well. The website will all look totally normal but where the video is/is supposed to be there's just a black box. I've made sure my flash player is up to date and even reinstalled it just to be sure. I've also messed with internet security and firewall settings but nothing has worked. Anybody know how i can fix this?

What operating system are you running? Have you kept up with all the Windows Updates?

might be a codec problem... try a Google Search "Klite Codec Pack." you may also need to download a new version of Flash or reinstall the browser...
