Virtual PC and Windows 7

  1. I want to know whether Virtual PC could 'virtually install' windows 7? I've downloaded the RC version from microsoft website and decided to test it virtually, I downloaded the 64bit version, but i've got a error saying that this CPU is not compatible with a 64bit mode.

    Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? My PC is fairly new (3 months old) and I don't see what problem it should have when using 64bit?

    you cant install x64 OS in x86 machines using Virtual PC. If you want to test 64 bit OS, you need to install W2k8 x64 in a Hyper-V capable machine.

    Why don't you download 32bit version of Win 7? you can easily host it as a virtual machine in XP/Vista...
