Visioneer Scanner

Hi everyone,
I have a Visioneer 8700 scanner and i made the mistake of plugging it in before i installed paperport and i am having great difficulty. I have uninstalled the onetouch driver and paperport but windows XP is making the hardware faliure noise when i plug the usb in. I have tried a number of different drivers but nothing seems to work. please can someone help

Use their clean-up utility to make sure you completely uninstall all drivers and programs. Then try to reinstall.
