Vista Premium Hangs during Shutdown

  1. Hello

When i shut down vista everything goes fine until after a few seconds in the "shutting down" screen. All HD activity stops and the blue circle stops moving. It will sit like that all day and never shutdown. It needs to be shutdown manually. After I restart it, windows will not load because it says that Fltmgr.sys is corrupted or missing. I need to pop in my disk, and go into startup repair to get vista back up and running. Any thoughts?
