32 bit vista sp2 installed in 15 mins but 2 driver problems one irritating, one unacceptable.
1. It reported driver on CF card slot as unusable. Wasn't and still works. But 'do not show this message again' didn't work, so report came up on every login. Could have lived with that.
2. Creative Zen Vision M60 driver same report. Tried uninstalling and re-installing from scratch. No effect. Creative say Vista does not support this device, but worked perfectly on SP1. Not acceptable that a standard update screws a working device, dodgy driver or not. Especially one with all my music on and a complete
Series 5 of House. Am I supposed to accept current state of the Zen as its final content or have to fire up a battered XP machine every time I want to change it?
Have uninstalled SP2 and everything works again.
Didn't have the Zen plugged in during update. Would that have made any difference?
Any advice welcome. Don't like to opt out of the update process.
