Hi, my son has loaded a wallpaper from a friends e-mail and i can't locate it.
The wallpaper shows at start up and again at shutdown. I would guess it is an exe programme but i don't know the title of the wallpaper or programme.

No it's not a nude, just an annoying pic of a Lama.

My son doesn't know what he has done?

Have looked in the obvious places, any ideas?

    Many thanks.:)

Are you using Win 98? If so I think I know what you are talking about, it shows just for a few seconds then changes when the desktop loads, right? All you have to do is change your wallpaper again and it should fix this.

try right clicking the desktop, and unselect "view as web page"

the lama pic will now be your wallpaper all the time.

right click again and choose properties and select a new one or no one.

Either of those methods should work.

Are you sure it is wallpaper and not start up screen and a shutdown screens?

In WinNT5, it's possible to have a different background for login/logout screens. At least X-Setup can change it, I'm not sure about others. If it's Win9x (ME included), the files are logow.sys and logos.sys in %windir%.

Stormbringer, i am not sure what they are, all i know is that the pic shows up at start up then reverts to my windows wallpaper, then at close down it does the same.

Should i delete those files suggested?
