Weekend Open Forum: What CPU powers your computer?

Amd am3 1100t overclocked to 3.9ghz running on GA-MA790X-UD4P. 8gb of DDR2 800mhz, with 3 hard drives, AMD HIS 7850 IceQ X Turbo H785QNT2G2M. 500 watt psu. and ASUS VS Series VS247H-P Black 23.6" 2ms LED Monitor.

Also running windows 7 sp1 64bit cause windows 8 and 8.1 suck so does windows 10. way can't there make another windows like windows 7 which worked fine or atleast give people to the option to make the start menu and folders and windows feel like windows 95 classic look

Intel.......Celeron G1820. Now, I know you're jealous but hey, I need that extra performance. Planning on upgrading it to maybe i5 or something. I wish it was AMD they have better value.

I think you missed the topic.

Intel Core i7 4770
Gigabyte B85-D3H motherboard (PCI-Express 3.0, SATA III & USB 3.0)
8GB 1600MHz RAM
Asus DCII 7870 GHz 2GB.

I'm using an Intel 4770K @ 4.2GHz on my main rig.
Core 2 Duo @ 2.4GHz on my McBook Pro.
An AMD Phenom II @ 3.4GHz on the backup rig.
Intel Atom Z3735F @ 1.83GHz on the Windows Tablet.

Still using a phenom 965BE x4 c3 3.8ghz, Great little overclocker, And I have never found it to be a bottleneck to my gtx 670. I would say its on the very limit though. Cpu usage is always in the low 90 percents when gpu is at 100.

C2D E8200 - oc to 3.2GHz, 4Gb ram (built in 2008, was main rig but a sibling has it now)

i5 4460, 8Gb ram (main rig now, built late last year)

I've got a G3258 running at 4.6GHz and 1.26v in my rig paired up with a 7950. Not too bad. Most of the games I play are okay with it just being a dual-core, and I typically get 60FPS or more in games (the one exception being Far Cry 3, which doesn't push as hard as it should).

Intel Core2 Duo E6850, Conroe 775 PIN LGA.

Best value for a CPU I've ever had. This little guy just works and works, from 2007.

AMD A10 6800K APU
MSI A88XM Gaming
16Gb Mushkin DDR3-2133
240Gb Corsair Neutron GTX SSD
1Tb Western Digital Black HDD
Windows 8.1 w/Stardock Start8 & ModernMix
Dell 1909W Monitor
Fractal Design Core 1100 case
SeaSonic 400W PSU

Sweetest rig I've ever owned. Compact and quiet.

Intel P-4 519 3.06 Ghz single core. This is the "art hunt" PC

Intel "Pentium E6300" dual core 2.8 Ghz /G41 (Not to be confused with the original Conroe C2D E6300). This is for startin' arguments with y'all. And maybe a little banking and buying stuff.

Pentium Dual core E2200 2.2Ghz. I trashed this damned thing with the "free" Adobe CS-2 fiasco. The install broke my legitimate copy of PSE-5. Methinks it may be time for a reformat.

Intel E7300 2.6 Ghz / P45 / 9500GT OK, this is in an Antec 800 case. So yeah, it's all bark and no bite....:D

Ivy Bridge Core i3 3225 This is the cool / eccentric / oddball CPU. It's got Intel G-4000 HD graphics. It runs 1080p like a champ. Since I'm too cheap to spring for software to play Blu-Ray, I toss that chore over to my Toshiba Blu-Ray player. Which incidentally, also runs 1080p like a champ. I wonder what graphics card is in that.....

And lastly, a Sandy Bridge i3 530. That's the current backup to the i3 3225. Both of those machines are in Cooler Master Storm "Scout Cases". So I think it goes without saying that pretty much everything in the house is, "all bark and no bite".

(Even me! Hell no, I don't want to be accused of fighting like a girl).

I7-3970 on H20, An ASUS RIVBE, 32 GBs DDR3-1866 Corsair Vengeance Pro, Sapphire R9-290X Tri-x, 4 Intel 180GB SSD 530s in RAID 5 in an 4 x 2.5 rack back-plane on an LSI RAID Controller, 1 WD Black 3TB, Corsair 850HX Stuffed into an ORIGINAL CM Stacker ATX/BTX convertible.

Why? Because I could finally build my "dream machine".

A i7 4790k Devil's Canyon OC'ed to 4.4GHz. I'll have to say this is my all time favorite processor, and I've had quite a few. It's absolutely wonderful. I'm cooling it with a Corsair H80i and it stays in the 20's (C) and only hits mid 40's (C) under load. I can't believe how fast it is sometimes (the 250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD with Windows 8.1 of course doesn't hurt things). But...it's truly an amazing proc.

I have it on a MSI Z97 Gaming 7 mobo, with a MSI Gaming GTX 980 4GB card, in a Corsair Air 540 case, and Seasonic 860w Platinum PSU (for when I get a second GTX 980). All displayed on an ASUS IPS 2560x1440p 27" monitor (and I use a Samsung 1920x1080 as a secondary monitor for running monitoring apps, temp, fans, etc.) System is rounded out with an HP BD ROM, a WD 1TB HDD for storage, and 16GB of Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz RAM. Oh and Corsair K70 cherry red mechanical keyboard, and a Razer 2013 Deathadder mouse, and a set of Bose Companion 2 series III speakers.

This is my dream system and I have to pinch myself sometimes to realize I have it and it's not a dream.

It is awesome.
