Weekend Open Forum: What next-gen console(s) are you eyeing?

I'm a PC gamer first, but I always like to have the most superior console on hand to relax with and that is clearly the PS4.

I'm in a pretty good position right now, with regards to options. I have 2560x1600 monitor which isn't going anywhere, coupled with a HD7970. I also have both Xbox360 and PS3, with a large collection of games. I'd bet that the PS3 and xbox remain valid for at least another two years - no way that most latest console-only games will come out only on next-gen.

Then, when the time comes to upgrade my PC, I can plop the 7970 into my HTPC (it's a damn quiet card) and have a Steam Box! I am hoping that more games will be PC-ported in the future.

Rofl $400.00 for a gaming pc? Gonna play some angry birds?

Well if he has some re used parts, he can make a decent build for $400. Don't be so ignorant and think that only PCs that are $1000 can be used for gaming.

If I really wanted a new console. I would go for the Xbox One. The problem is the Kinect NSA sensor. So I would opt for the PS4. But I don't really want a PS4 so I guess I will stick to PC until Xbox One gets sold without the damn Kinect.

Cover the Kintect sensor with a shirt or something and continue playing :D

You can't. The Xbox will detect that there's no one in the room and will turn itself off.

(And to be clear, I'm joking, but that doesn't mean it can't be true.)

Buying next gen system at release is asking for trouble - limited titles, firmware issues, crazy pricing etc.
