Weird adblock situation

  1. On my Vista I use adblock plus in FF & no ads of any type. Both browsers/adblockers are fully updated
yet on my tower, it don't matter what adblocker I use, its ads ALL over the place:p
    Same filters on both too.
When I launch FF on my tower, a FULL page ad pops up for a few seconds :mad:
    Any ideas/reasons why??

Thank you. I think there was a related thread in here about adblock getting paid to show ads or something like that? I'll check out those links tomorrow, too tired now to think straight. :)

Gollie, even the imperfect google chrome is allowing ads now.:p
Well, I guess they gotta pay for it somehow. Maybe they should start charging for browsers to get rid of the ads YUCK

At least your local news site seems to work with adblock. www.ksdk.com doesn't

Doesn't your browser have multiple choices for ad blockers?

Try it on FF see if it works. When I used FF . I used ABP on it to. With no problems.

I've had it on FF but it still has the occasional FULL page pop up. I even have it blocked in FF Tools>Options>Content but it happens occasionally.

If I remember right. When reading about ABP and AB. They will block most ads. But there are some that will get threw. It just not 100% ad blocking. But for the most part for me. It dose a great job.
