We just tested this, your TS account and PayPal do not have to be using the same emaill address. Confirmed.

Just tried it again and it went through using an account I pay. Wouldn't do it before. Does it now. Some script changed. Anyway, gave some money.

Perhaps enabling turning it off and on might be a good option. Technically I don't know how easy it would to accomplish though.
