What cpu can the motherboard handle?

    I am not too familar when it comes to motherboards and how fast/what kind of processors they can handle. I bought my computer 4 years ago and these are the specs:

    Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. A7N8X-X REV 2.xx
    Bus Clock: 166 megahertz
    BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD ASUS A7N8X-X ACPI BIOS Rev 1009 02/03/2004
    Processor: 1.93 GHz AMD Athlon XP
    Ram: 512 MB DDR (to which I will prolly add another GB)
    HDD: 80 GB

    Do you know whats the maximum speed this motherboard can handle, processor wise?

    The Athlon XP 3200+ is the fastest CPU your motherboard will support.
