What happens if I connect a different power supply

what happen if....i connect power supply diferent to my latop toshiba satellite s201 with diferent o high voltaje dc?
-can damage the mainboard of my latop?
-or which part can be damage of the mainboard?
-does all laptop have fussible or not?

I don't know which part you'll fry if you use a higher voltage, but I'm pretty sure you'll fry SOMETHING, maybe the battery. As far as I know the voltage and polarity has to be the same, amperage can be higher but not lower than your default charger.
