What is Going on ?!

1) My task manager doesnt come up no matter how hard I try

2) A bunch of VERY wierd programs have been installed

3) I get pop ups out of nowhere


This all happened when i turned my computer on (the task manager hasnt been working for a while)

Everything else was fine until this afternoon. What should I do? I read the "How 2" on the forum, but I cant even manage to do that without the computer completely locking up (im on the other computer now)

Somebody please help

it sounds like you have a trojan on our system.

you can try running the following trojan detectors to remove it.

and you can try installing and running the cleaner from www.moosoft.com it is free to try for thirty days.

if you cant get either program to run without the computer locking up then you need to use either a bartPE disk or a UBCD disk to boot from and run their virus programs from boot up.

You should find that going into safe mode with networking will allow you to do any troubleshooting/scanning/disinfections.HERE
