What should i do?

    Okk.. i need to install windows xp onto my new computer but its not booting up from the cd... i tried putting a hard drive from another computer with xp but it would restart everytime. Does anyone have any idea what i should do? I'm so confused haha

    To boot fromt he Cd you need to set your optical drive as first boot device in the bios.

    i've done that... the farthest i've got was ntldr missing

    is this an original XP disk or a copy? NTLDR missing sounds like it is looking ot the hard drive for boot.

    i'm pretty sure its a copy.. the guy i bought it from gave it to me with the computer.

    If it's not a genuine copy, contact Microsoft or simply go to the nearest software store & buy one.
