    I have a Gateway profile 4.0 in my room that I have been trying to fix. I have taken it to a few differnt tech people and they just told me to buy a new computer, but i really want to get this one working again. So when i turn it on sometimes it will start up normaly until you try to open or run anything. Then it goes black and beeps upon restarting it, any help would be great thanks

    Intel Pentium 4 @2.8GHz
    60 GB hard drive
    256MB SDRAM

    I know its not much but it was my first comp :)

    sounds like bad ram or a PSU going bad. try different ram and see if that makes a difference.
